Cannot see any updates available for Build 10166

I am unable to upgrade to Build 10240 from build 10166. Windows Update says that all my devices are up to date.

I tried both the sfc and the dism and none finds any problem. Regedit have the correct branch information.

I also tried to reset the SoftwareDistribution and it doesn't solve my problem.

When I view the ReportingEvents.log file, it has : (it adds 2 lines everytime I check the updates)

What can I do to get build 10240?

Should I reset to Windows 8.1? I also have a copy of build 10162.

Sorry to hear that.

I have no more solution for you.

Only 8 more days ( July 29th ) before Windows 10 RTM is to be released.

Why not wait till then.
When the dust is settled, maybe you will get to see build 10240 from Windows Update.

If you are entitled to a free upgrade, your problem might be over.

Moonsaver,

Would you mind to upload us your WindowsUpdate.log (%windir%\Windowsupdate.log) into OneDrive and post the shared link here?

If possible, find the CBS.log (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS ) together.

Another thing that we should take care of is the Microsoft Account. Make sure we use the registered Microsoft Account, to receive new build update, your Microsoft need to verify.

Regards
