Cannot restore my database for one my SharePoint sub-website?
Hi Are both source and destination environment SP 2010? If so this question need to be posted in the SP 2010 forum? Also I think per web app you have one content database. So please clarify how you removed the sub3's content database separately. Thanks, Soumya

My SharePoint site has a main site collection called portal. Under portal I have 3 subsites. sub1, sub2, sub3. I have another testing MOSS 2010 sever set up just for testing. I am trying to replicate my production server. So I first removed sub3's content database from the portal site collection through the central administration site. Second, I took the databsae offline from teh SQL server. Third I copied the databse over to the testing server and added it to that site collection. Well that did not work. Moreover, I brought the database back online and added it back to the portal site collection. than I did an iisreset on both servers in farm. Now my sub3 sharepoint site in production is down and inaccessible. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong?
