Cannot pass variables to Alert Description
Hi all :) I'm dumb now as I've done this hundreds of times but now it just doesn't work and I've tried everything. I've set up an SNMP Probe monitor. In alert description I have such entry: Device with IP address $Target/Property[Type="MicrosoftSystemCenterNetworkDeviceLibrary6172210!Microsoft.SystemCenter.NetworkDevice"]/IPAddress$ and name $Target/Property[Type="MicrosoftSystemCenterNetworkDeviceLibrary6172210!Microsoft.SystemCenter.NetworkDevice"]/Name$ has too much TCP Bad Packets: OID: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[1]/OID$ Value: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[1]/Value$ Syntax: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[1]/Syntax$ Contact with: $Target/Property[Type="MicrosoftSystemCenterNetworkDeviceLibrary6172210!Microsoft.SystemCenter.NetworkDevice"]/SystemContact$ In alert I receive: Device with IP address {0} and name {1} has too much TCP Bad Packets: OID: {2} Value: {3} Syntax: {4} Contact with: {5} I don't have any errors in Event Log of OpsMgr. I've restarted console, changed description to new one - nothing. Only those stupid numbers! Please help! R.E.M. - YEAH!

Hi Rem-8, You are taking the same varbind [1] for all fields. try to change to : OID: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[1]/OID$ Value: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[2]/Value$ Syntax: $Data/Context/SnmpVarBinds/SnmpVarBind[3]/Syntax$ If it dosnt work, please copy the alert context so we could see the OID vars and values.
