Cannot open Explorer View in Sharepoint.
I am currently using IE 8 and Windows 2010. When in sharepoint, I cannot open Explorer view. I get the error message, 'Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer'. What can i do in order to fix this issue?

When you say windows 2010.....what exactly do you mean? Windows 7? Server 2008 R2?
If it is server 2008 R2, you need to do the following steps and enable Desktop Experience.
1. Open your Server Manager
2. Scroll down and click "Add Features" under the "Features Summary" heading.
3. Tick the check box next to "Desktop Experience" and click install.
4. This will require a restart.
After this, you should be able to access the list in question through Windows Explorer.
Hope this helps!
Edit: If you dont have this KB installed, it may be a good idea to take a look at as well:

Hi,
I am not sure whether you want to say Windows 7 or any other version of windows because Windows 2010 is not in market till now. the latest is Windows 7.
Anyway if you want to experience explorer view check these points:
1. Integrated windows authentication is enabled.
2. Check web client services are running in authentication mode.
I hope this will help you out.
Thanks,

Just to make quite sure ...
Are you using Windows 7 with Office 2010 with SharePoint 2010 or
with SharePoint 2007?
