Because of broken search nd some other issues I have deleted all three search databases( Crawl, property and admin) . I also deleted the search service associated with it and created new service with new DBs...Everything seems to be working but now my event viewer is throwing error that it cannot open database associated with my old search service instance I am gettting this error Search_Service_Application_1_CrawlStoreDB_89994933jdkdkdsdfdd <SQLSERVERNAME>\InstanceName Cannot open database "Search_Service_Application_1_CrawlStoreDB_89994933jdkdkdsdfdd d" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user "domain\username'. Regards, Bhuttan

Hi Bhuttan, This error occurs when you have configured your application with IIS, and IIS goes to SQL Server and tries to login with credentials that do not have proper permissions. This error can also occur then replication or mirroring is set up. You can go through this article to get more detailed information and solution of this issue: http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2009/08/20/sql-server-fix-error-cannot-open-database-requested-by-the-login-the-login-failed-login-failed-for-user-nt-authoritynetwork-service/. I think you didn't understand the problem ...the database what its trying to open does not exist now in SQL . I have already deleted this database so now I don't have database Search_Service_Application_1_CrawlStoreDB_89994933jdkdkdsdfdd The article you pointed out explained to give owner permissions on that database but in my case it doesn't make sense.Regards, Bhuttan
