Cannot open Central Administration after installed the WSS 3.0 SP2 on WIndows Server 2008 R2
I installed the WSS 3.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64, I can open the Sharepoint - 80 site, but i cannot open the sharepoint central administration. The error: This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. For more information about HTTP errors, see Help. And i checked the Event Viewer, get below: The description for Event ID 8214 from source Windows SharePoint Services 3 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: A request was made for a URL, http://localhost:38736, which has not been configured in Alternate Access Mappings. Some links may point to the Alternate Access URL for the default zone, http://myserver:38736. Review the Alternate Access mappings for this Web application at http://myserver:38736/_admin/AlternateUrlCollections.aspx and consider adding http://localhost:38736 as a Public Alternate Access URL if it will be used frequently. Help on this error: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=114854 Please help me out!! thanks!!!!
