Hi, I think the correct forum for this is http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/threads Anyway, just change the .WSP extension to .cab and then check the DLLs using .Net Reflector. There could be some unhandled code which is giving this error. BR, PM

Hi Purple, Please check the SharePoint Server Logs at <HomeDir>\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS You may post or view some useful information for solving this issue ASAP. Regards, Suresh Kumar Udatha.

Hi Purple, Did you try the approach I suggested earlier? Apart from that, can you run this STSADM command using Service Account on your SharePoint farm and just verify if that does the trick? It could be due to some permission issue, either "Run As" Service account or login to Windows using the Service Account and then try to install the WSP. Also add yourself to WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG group (WSS Farm Admins Group) and then try. BR, PM
