Hi Chris. Could you please define what you mean by "can only see"? If I would guess, you are about to add a user, and in the people picker control you have clicked the address book icon? And in the "Select People and Groups" dialog, you can't find one or more users? If this is the case, you have to verify that the AD account import is functioning correctly. Have you set it up according to this article ? If you mean that you can only see 13 of your 100 employees in the "All people" list, that would be normal, since this list will only contains users that currently have permissions to the site. Hope this helps. Regards, MagnusMy blog: InsomniacGeek.com

Sorry I left some needed information out, you are on the money with not being able to add users in the "Select People and Groups" dialog and does sound like the AD Import issue described in your article but I cannot find "Office SharePoint Server 2007 Shared Services" in Application Management. The only listed sections under the Application Management tab are SharePoint Web Application Management, application Security, Workflow Management, SharePoint Site Management, and External Service Connections. Any idea's? Sharepoint 2007 WSS3 Thanks, Chris

Hi, "Office SharePoint Server 2007 Shared Services" is not at Application Management tab. You should be able to find “shared services administration” in the left part of your central administration page, below which there are some SSP links. Let me know if you have further questions! Hope it is helpful!Seven

SPWeb.Groups will allow you to pull out only the groups which have some / any kind of permissions defined within the site. SPWeb.SiteGroups will pull out all the cross-site groups irrespective of any permission defined. Any suggestions are appreciated. Cheers, Eliza
