Cannot enter MOSS 2007 Product Key in Central Admin
I am running MOSS 2007 SP2 and just recently had to recreate the config db due to a corruption in the original config db. Now that the new config db is created and I have reconnected to the farm, I am going through the process of doing the initial CA configurations. I noticed that in Operations>Convert License Type, the License Key is now blank. I tried re-entering the License Key but the text field is not editable. What am I missing here?

If you have previously entered license keys and they are valid the OK Button will be disabled and and the Text box for entering the Lic key will show blank and become read only. If you need to upgrade to enterprise from standard license you will have to go to Central Administration > Operations > Enable Enterprise Features. if your license is already Enterprise both options (Standard and Enterprise) will be grayed out and Enterprise will already be selected. This will help you identify what type of livense you have applied. HTH Nagesh S Days and years do not mean anything to me. Moments shared are frozen in their time frame. As you have already created a new config DB, try repair of MOSS and then create another config DB and then enter Lic. keyRegards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant |
