Cannot create the FIM MA. Nothing shows up in Search Requests
Hello everyone. I have a clean test environment that I am using to... test FIM before we do anything with it live, and I am having a really hard time getting it to work. More specifically, I am trying to create the FIM MA, and of course it can't connect to the database or FIM service. FIM is up to date with the latest patches, running on WS2008R2SP1 and SQL2008R2SP1. Here's what I tried: 1. PS script to verify the account, it says it's ok. 2. Gave the FIMMA local logon rights on the SQL server and FIM server. 3. The UDL file tests ok, all firewalls are disabled. 4. I have reset all passwords. 5. Checked the registry to see if the account I want to use is the same as the one used by the FIM Sync service. 6. Swapped the order of .NET frameworks to use in the miiserver.exe.config file, installed .NET4... etc. The only thing that returns something fishy is this article, that recommends to look for the ma-data and mv-data: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4624.how-to-refresh-the-schema-of-the-fim-service-management-agent.aspx Surprise, I don't see any connection in the results for today, including these. However, I don't know what to do next. Typing http://localhost:5725 directly in the browser loads an XML file, so I guess the connection to the service is realized.? Any ideas please.

What value did you put in the service address textbox? lhttp://loclalhost:5725 ? or did you use the service address that you created SPN and DNS entries for?Frank C. Drewes III - Architect - Oxford Computer Group
