Cannot connect to sitedatabase after changing pagefile
Hello,
situation: sccm2007 SP2 (4gb memory) with remote SQL.
I tried to improve the SCCM server performance, what I did is that I changed the pagefile settings from custom(4096-6144) to System managed size.
After the change I'm not able to connect to the sitedatabase remote and local on the server. The message I get when I try to connect to the database=
The Site Server cannot be contacted or trying to connect to an incompatible Site Server version. Please enter a new Site Server Name. Details: Invalid namespace.
I changed the settings back to custom with the same settings, but I still get the message. Anyone know a solution?

Changing the page file shouldn't hurt anything. I'd try a site reset.
BTW... Unless this is a really small site 4Gb is not enough. Also assuming this is a small site I'd move SQL local. Remote SQL is a pain.

Hi John,
I'd fixed the problem, I've checked this article:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb932190.aspx, in step 5 there two lines in the target site code, one of them was an old site code, I've removed that line and everything works like a charm.
Your right that changing the page file should'nt be a problem. I've tried to increase diskspace on the server on the Datadisk a few weeks ago, I had this problem also, so having two lines of the instances in your WMI (wbemtest) and changing something with
the disks creates a problem. Glad its fixed now. We don't have a really big site(400-500 clients, 6 secondaries), but I will look at that to. Thanks for the tip. If we will have real problems with performance in the future, I will keep in mind to move the
SQL to local. Now its remote because of costs...
Regards Dirk-Jan
