We have a MOSS 2007 SP1 installation We have an excel file opened in Excel 2007 (excel 2003 compatibility mode) that cannot be checked in. It is checked out when opening it in excel to the "local drafts" folder. Works OK. The file is edited and saved. When closing it, the question about checkin is answered with yes. Nothing happens, excel is not closed and no file is checked in. When trying to check in the file from the sharepoint web page it complains about that the file was checked out to your local drafts folder but the local copy could not be found or is on a different computer. ... (the file is in the local drafts folder). This happens for at least 2 users with this file. Other files can be checked in. The operating system for one of these users is Windows 7 with IE8, the other is Windows XP SP3 with IE7. The only way to update the file seems to be uploading it with a new version. When the same file is opened with Excel 2003 it can be checked in. Any ideas?

Hi, Has anyone got any ideas on this? Can it be something corrupt with this file? Has it lost "its connections" to sharepoint?
