Cannot add PXE service point role
Hi All, I have setup a Primary site server at our head office, set everything up including PXE service point and everthing is working great. Then I setup another primary site at another brach and connected it as a child of the head office site. However, I don't have the option of adding the "PXE Serive point" role at the child site... All our packages and OS images have replicated properly and are available at the local DP on the child site server, but for some reason I cannot add the PXE service point role to the Child site server. When I go to <server> - Add Roles, it just doesn't appear in the list... I have installed the WDS role on the child site server and configured it. The parent site is running Server 2008 on a Physical machine The child site is running Server 2008 on a Virtual Server VM, hosted on a Win2k3 SP2 machine Any ideas..?

Are you adding the PXESP from the primary site or the secondary? Try logging in to the primary server and adding it to the secondary from the primary server. From some dim dark recess of my mind I recall that the PXESP can only be added from a primary server..... Maybe.... could be wrong....

Sweet! Thanks Moff25 Funny thing that...I also noticed that from the Parent server, you can't even see the PXE service point role on the child server after you add it. You can only see it from the child site. Thanks again!
