Cannot Install Sharepoint 2007, Configuration Wizard failed to create sample data at Step 8
Hello, all. I'm trying to install Sharepoint 2007, usually at Step 8, whereas this error message appears: "Failed to create sample data. An exception of type System.IO.FileNotFoundException was thrown. Additional exception information: Unable to find the specified file." I'm installing at Windows Server 2008, by the way. How can I get over this problem? Thank you. Regards, Kristian

> usually at Step 8, It's often possible to reach step eight (and get this or other messages) if you don't have enough memory assigned to the installation. The server you are installing on needs an absolute minimum of 1GB for MOSS 2007 to install at all. (This problem - if that is the reason this time - usually turns up in test installations on VMs in portables)FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.
