Cannot Boot up laptop Error: PXE-E53: No boot filename received
Cannot Boot up laptop Error: PXE-E53: No boot filename received then says No operating system found. My Sisters laptop is rarely used and recently as thursday was on facebook, but she has no idea off maintenance and updates etc I LOOKED at the f2 & f9 options f2 Bios stuff er tried 3 ways of starting but alas after 2 hours NOTHING. Its a Medion mim2210 was with Vista but now seems to be Nothing???? Thanks in advance

this is the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 forums, it sounds like you are have a consumer issue with your home computer, have you tried posting your problem here instead ? that forum would be more suited to your needs, also check if you have any usb disc, dvd disc or similar preventing booting. oh She does not have the original discs as bought in 2005 from Woolworths before the Shops closed down..UK can it be booted up so I can change config settings etc, at presnt Cannot do anything as it searching for boot file and op system..... catch 22 cheers :)

if theres no operating system on the hard disc drive then it won't boot (hence the message) which is quite likely when a disc fails or has been formatted. You'll need to get someone who has computer diagnostic experience to look at the computer to determine if the hard disc is faulty and if so replace it and then install an operating system on it again using the original media.
