Cannot Access SharePoint From Mac
First of all, I have virtually no SharePoint experience, so forgive me if I'm off on some of the terminology. Our SharePoint environment is running SharePoint Services 3.0. We have five users who use Macs, and they have major troubles hitting
our SharePoint sites.
I think that I know the issue, I just don't know how to fix it. If the Mac users use the FQDN, they can hit the sites with no issues. However, if they're navigating around the sites, and they happen to hit a link that isn't formatted with the
FQDN, it won't work.
For example, http://sharepoint.<domain>.local/sites/ops/default.aspx will work fine. However, http://sharepoint/sites/ops, won't work at all. Can this be fixed? If so, what do I need to do? If you need to know anything else, let me know. Thanks
in advance.

It looks like a typical AAM issue. It usually is when default.aspx works but internal addresses don't work.
What are your AAM settings?
(It is however hard to see if it is AAM why your non-Mac users aren't having the same problem)SP 2010 "FAQ" (mainly useful links):

Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chapters

My settings look like this:
Internal URL
Zone
Public URL for Zone
http://<server>:<port>
Default http://<server>:<port>
http://sharepoint
Default http://sharepoint
Does that tell you anything? And yes, there are zero issues from any Windows users. Mac users are the only ones that have any trouble whatsoever with this. Thanks.

I just noticed that my formatting of the AAM settings screen didn't carry over to my post. If anyone has trouble picking out what the settings are, let me know, and I'll post a screenshot instead.
