Can you integrate Savision with the Visio tool
Hey all because of budget constraints, my co will not buy the licensed version of savision live maps. but they still want drill down views. so can i use the free version of live maps, with the 5 views, and be able to drill down into visio views? can this be done, and if not through scom, maybe through sharepoint? if this is not possible, does anyone know of any way to be able to drill down views, either using visio/sharepoint, or a combination of live maps and visio? Cheers! Ash

You cant go from live maps to visio as far as I know, but you can just use the visio or sharepoint 2010 connectors. The visio 2010 is really great, and you can drill down to health explorers from there. You can also use SP2010 to get to things like your dist apps etc. Keely

Hi I have blogged a whole series about SCOM Dashboards, describing Visio and Savision in more detail: regards, Marnix Wolf (Thoughts on OpsMgr)

Thanks Paul and Marnix for the comments - Marnix I've already checked out your great blogs on this, and commented on them too! I was trying to create a traffic light top level - eg Sharepoint, AD, Exchange etc.. and then be able to drill down those views into a more detailed view of the servers within the next level, again eg Top Level (AD), click and go onto the next level (All AD servers - where you can see the problem server). This I don't know how to do, as I can't see how you can link this in any way - unless this is possible in sharepoint, which Marnix has alluded to, but I can't see how you can do that. Any ideas? Thx!
