Can we convert SSIS package as a service which can be used by other application in Java or .Net
Hi All, Can we convert SSIS package as a service which can be used by other application in Java or .Net? Has anybody tried this? If yes please let me know the procedure for the same. We want to reuse the logic which we have developed in our SSIS package in other frameworks like Java.i.e. Same logic we want to execute as add on to other application. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks, Vaibhav

I dont think there is any way to convert the SSIS package as a service. There are ways you can invoke the SSIS package from .Net or Java applications. But here the challenge will be if you need any output from the package back to invoking system.

You can't package up the SSIS package into an independent executable, or bundle it as a (web) service itself. You can execute an SSIS package through a T-SQL call. You can execute a package via any number of remote execution tools. In all cases, you need the SSIS package executed on a machine that has the SSIS runtime installed - which means you need a licensed SQL Server (Standard or higher). Talk to me now on
