Can two Central Administrations share the same SQL server?
We've created a new MOSS 2007 intranet site. It has numerous features that sometimes necessitate IISRESETS. There's concern that performing an IISRESET would interfere with other, more critical sites we have on the server. We're plotting out whether to make
it part of our current farm, or set up a new WFE with it's own CA.
If we set up a new WFE with a new CA, can we use the same SQL, Index, and AD servers that are part of our current farm? Can two CA DBs live on the same SQL server? Anything to look out for?
If we wind up adding an WFE to the existing farm, is there any way to isolate the intranet site?
Thanks.

you can use a single SQL server which hosts multiple farms as long as you name your config / content databases differently. the AD can be the provider for multiple farms. there is no issue with that either. CA is an application that can only run in
one server of a farm.HTH
