Can the Organisation Browser show lync presence?
Hi, I am using the OOTB Organisation Browser which is hooked up to the User Profile Service and working well. Question is, I have read in a few places that the org chart should show presence however I cannot see where this would be configured. Note presence is working elsewhere in the site such as in timelines or next to user names in document libraries etc with no issues. So - should the organisation browser show presence? Thanks,

I don't see any way to make it happen in the Silverlight version of the organisation browser. If MS didn't write the code to display presence into the Silverlight solution, it's not something it would just inherit. I tried it as well on our site, and on the same page as a list which is showing presence, the Silverlight org browser didn't show any presence. I can't verify how the HTML version of the org browser works, as I can't seem to get that to work properly under 2013.Colin Phillips | Twitter: @itgroove_colin | Blog: http://mmman.itgroove.net Please click "Propose As Answer" if a post solves your problem or "Vote As Helpful" if a post has been useful to you.
