Maybe this just isn't possible... does that seem weird to anyone else?

Can someone from MSFT comment on this please. If it's not possible I'd like to know. Thank you!

I suppose you mean that thetable should automatically reposition itself as the browser window size changes, or as the page size changes on export. This is currently not supported for data regions in ReportingServices.HTH,RobertRobert Bruckner; http://blogs.msdn.com/robertbruckner; This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi Robert, thanks for the reply. I don't care about the table repositioning itself when the browser window size changes, but I just want to have the table in the middle of the report's total width as defined by the report properties. The reason I can't just manually put the table in the middle of the report is because the number of columns in the table changes depending on the parameters. Is this also not supported? Thanks again!Tyler

Actually if I could have the table aligned to the center with relation to anything I would be happy. If I could put it inside another container that is the width of the report and then position it in the middle of that container that would be fine.

Can a table be aligned in the center at all? with respect to anything?

Since you mention that the number of columns changed depending on the parameter, then I don't think it is possible or supported. But, like you mention, try putting these columns from a table into one large rectangle and align center this rectangle. I'm not sure if this is going to work, but couldn't hurt to give it a try. Let us know what you got. Good luck.Glad to help ...

If you set the NoRows property on the table to any text value, then this text value will be shown if there is no data in the table. The text value willhave exactly the size of the table as defined at design time.Robert Bruckner; http://blogs.msdn.com/robertbruckner; This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi Isham, even if I don't have the number of columns changing, I don't think it is possible to align a table in the middle of the page. I don't see how having a variable number of columns changes anything... does it?

yeah thats rigth robert. I want some constant space between each table section .Is that possible

So here's what I'm going to do, hope it helps someone else that is struggling to do something as simple as align a table in the middle of a report. It's a hack, but that's what it's come down to.If you are not changing the number of columns in a table by hiding/showing some columns then just align it manually. But if you are changing the number of columns on the fly, then for each column you are hiding/showing, add another column on the left side of the table and make it transparent and set it to the same width as the corresponding column you are hiding/showing. Set the formula for the visibility of this new column to be the opposite to the formula for the corresponding column so that it will bump everything over the appropriate amount whenever the other column isn't visible. Do this for each column you are going to hide/show depending on a criteria.Man this is a messy hack.Hope that helps someone out there! And if anyone has any better ideas, please take the 2 seconds to post it to this thread. :)Tyler

Select the table you want to centre, then click Format - Centre in form - Horizontally. Simple. Stacy

Nothing is ever so simple with the Microsoft products - I have a tablix with dynamic number of columns, so what is centrally aligned at design time is not in run time. You would think that something simple like this would have been taken care of - but apparently we're dreaming big! :-O
