Can You Book an Exchange Resource from within SharePoint?
Hello-- We are in the process of deploying SharePoint 2010 into our environment--which is running SP 2007. We also have Exchange 2010 in our environment and have our conference rooms designated as Exchange resources. I've seen articles on SP resource booking, but I don't see anything about interfacing Exchange into SharePoint so a conference room resource in Exchange could be booked from SharePoint. Is there a standard way to do that, or are we talking about customizations? Any links to articles are appreciated! Stephen Davis

Hi Stephen, I understand that you want book Exchange Resources from SharePoint. Since you are in the process of deploying SharePoint 2010, I will introduce the way to achieve this in SharePoint 2010. In SharePoint 2010 Calendar, you can add a Calendar overlay to Exchange Calendar. In this way you can go the Outlook web access to book Exchange Resources using Exchange web service.Or you can activate Group Work Lists feature for the site. In this way you can add resources manually in a Resources list and book the resources in Calendar events.
