We're currently running wsus. I want to continue running wsus while we trial sce. Is this possible. I installed sce on a different server and its causing problems with wsus. thx

Hi, I think there are already a couple of threads about this. The main think is that you must make sure that WSUS and the WSUS in SCE don't affect the same machines. There is a group policy for both of them. I've installed SCE and applied the GP in a separate testOU with the SCE computers. Still having problems. The client is installed however appears not to have contacted the SCE serversyet although I can see health alerts (pointing to the GPO not being applied) but the updates and softare status is showing asunknown. Any help or links will be appreatiated. thanks.

Hi,SCE install WSUS 3.0 and incorporate many of its feature into SCE console. According the synpoton described, I suppose the GPO of clients did not point to SCE server. After running product feature configuration wizard and choosing domain policy, it will create two GPOs linked top of forest.HTH.Jie-Feng Ren - MSFT
