Can Service Applications DBs ( Like Managed Metadata, Search , UserProfile) partition able after migrated from SP2010 to SP2013?

Hi , I am setting up Multi tenancy form in SharePoint 2013. I have splitted all 'partitionable services' like MMD, UPS, Search etc. but now I need to migrate SharePoint 2010's Service application databases to corresponding Service Applications in a particular tenant. So my question , is it possible to split the existing databases? I did partition service dbs while creating them using scripts. How to attach existing DBs to a particular tenant? What are the approaches to achieve this.

Do I need to upgrade service dbs first and then split?? Will it possible to split like that??

Can we able to attach service DBS to particular tenant?? if so how pls share your views/experiences.
