Can I use ILM2/FIM as the Login Gateway to all my custom web applications
1. Id like to know if ILM2/FIM could be used as my main login prompt for all my web applications? I have several web applications that each have dedicated login prompts that allow users into the system.2. Could ILM2/FIM also be the main interface for registering users in all my web applications?3. What custom code would be needed if I wanted FIM to either pass data to a stored procedure or insert values into a database? I basically want FIM to handle all the user provisioning for my custom web applications.

FIM is an Identity Management system that is mainly used for syncing identity information between different systems and catalogs. 1. I recommend you to have a look at "Geneva" instead for this. 2. Yes and No! FIM has a user interface that could be used for creating users that then are synced around to different systems but I wouldn't recommend you let Internet users into FIM if that's where you have your users because each user in the FIM portal will require a client access licence á 25$ but if it's enterprise users it could be an alternative. 3. That depends on your existing data and if it's already pretty well formed it's not sure you need any custom code at all.Henrik Nilsson Blog: http://www.idmcrisis.com Company: Cortego (http://www.cortego.se)
