Can I manual push client install from Root SCCM server where no site boundary configured?
#1: yes, that's possible. It seems as if your MP is not working on the central site. #2: sure #3: define "remote stores". You need at least one DP or BDP so that client can access the content (package) #4: client is downloaded from MP. You can also specify an alternative source using command line parameters.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Our new SCCM system has three servers: SCCM1, site code: SC1, Roles: Root site, Site DB, MP, RP, SLP, SUP. No site boundaries specified. Client push install: not enabled for auto push. I specified user account and Parameter: SMSSITECODE=SC2 SMSMP=SC2 FSP=MONSCCM2 We plan to do all SCCM administration and reporting on SCCM1 server SCCM2, Site code: SC2, Role: Primary site, Site DB, MP, SUP, FSP, DP Three testing site boundaries: One for corp fast LAN, Other two for slow WAN. DP for Corp fast LAN. BDP1 and BDP2 are configured for two remote offices over slow WAN 128bps each. We plan uses SCCM2 handle communications to all client machines. Helpdesk admins can also using remote console for Remote tools and query SCCM3, Site system and Standard DP in Site SC2 for remote stores in slow WAN each store has about 10 to 15 PCs sharing a 256Kbps WAN link to Corp Question: 1) SCCM1 has no Site boundaries and has no DP. Can I do manual "Client push install" from SCCM1? In my testing, manual push client is failed from SCCM1 server. On SCCM1 site server, Auto client push is not enabled. I specified a domain account and push parameters: SMSSITECODE=SC2 SMSMP=SC2 FSP=MONSCCM2 On SCCM1 CCM.log: CCR process completed. ccmsetup.exe and MobilClient.tcf files are pushed to Client. On Client Windows XP SP3 PC: ccmsetup.exe is started. ccmsetup.xls is extracted. But "Failed to correctly receive a WEBDAV HTTP request" "Failed to successfully complete HTTP request" "Sending Fallback Status Point message, STATEID='301" From SCCM2 server, I can do "Client Push install" 2) Can I create package and deploy from SCCM1? 3) When I create a package for remote stores, do I need check Standared DP and BDPs, or just standard DP? 4) When I push SCCM clients to PCs in remote stores, are they download client from their BDP, or from Site standard DB? Thanks, Steven

#1: It was WebDAV configuration problem on Center site server. After changed from Administrator Full control to "All Users Read" right, Client can download files from http CCM_Client site. Client push does not use DP nor BDP, the files will downloaded from http CCM_Client virtual directory.
