You can add an rs:Format=PDF to the url like so:
http://myReportServer/ReportServer/Pages/ReportViewer.aspx?%2fMyReport&rs:Command=Render&rs:Format=PDF

To verify?
Under Project Properities go to and change Target Server URL
I have HTTP://CurreentServerInformation This is what I currently have i changed
to
HTTP://CurreentServerInformation/Pages/ReportViewer.ASPX.2%2fMyReport&rs:Command=Render&rs:Format=PDF
This prompts me for user and password and if entered nothing and if cancel a failed deploy. Sorry to be such a newbie but I do appricate your help.
thanks again for your quick reply and help

Hi Terry,
You don’t need to change the Target Server URL under Project Properties. Please still use the original URL for deploying.
As gao.seng posted, in order to open the deployed report in PDF directly, we can access report by passing the command parameter with a value of Render through URL. For detailed
information, please refer to Rendering a Report Using URL Access at:
