Can I have a separate Y axis scale max for each data series?
I have a horizontal bar chart which shows percentage breakdown of compensation ranges across the nation for 1 data series. Another data series shows the percentage breakdown for a specific geographic region, e.g. San Francisco Region. I have set my Y Axis Max to be equal the highest category count. This makes the category with the highest count show as a bar of maximum length. However, my regional series is relative to that nationwide max too, so the bars for the categories are very small. Is it possible to make the second data series max length something different than the first data series? In the example, the purple series (national) is as I want, but the green series (San Francisco) is too short relative to the national max.

Hi KChampion, Thanks for your question. From your description, it seems like you use the count in one range of geographic region to compare with the maximum count of the national directly. Actually, you should compare the count in each range of the geographic region to the maximum count of the geographic region. In this case, please change the denominator expression of the percentage for the geographic region, changing it from national to geographic region. If there is anything misunderstand, please don’t hesitate let me know. Thanks, Sharp Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help you and unmark them if they provide no help.

Kchampion, Well, I think instead of having two Y-axis seperately. You can have a single Y-axis with maximum you have set to highest category count. Change the value of regional series relative to nationwide max, and plot the modified value. For eg. If you nationwide max is 100, you set Y-axis max = 100 Now, if your regional series max = 50, then step to that of nationwide = 2 (nationwide max) -> So, when you plot, regional series and nation wide series. Plot Nationwide as it is and Regional series as 2 times actual value. Hope, I clearly understood your situation. Regards, Manoj *Happy to help http://fascinatingsql.wordpress.com/

Thanks for the help. Changing the underlying regional value in proportion to the national value seems like the way to go.
