Can I change the left side navigation to show the current sub site name instead of “home”
I have created a sub-site of type team site and I want to save the sub site as template, so users can start creating sub sites based on the template.

But my question is about replacing the left side navigation link named home to show the current sub site title instead of the word home. I know that I can manually update this , but I am trying to find a way to make it dynamic , so it will work when creating new sub sites or when I change the sub site name.

Can anyone advice on this please?

Thanks

Hi,

A suggestion is that you can apply some JavaScript to replace the Home text with the current site name dynamically.

A demo about displaying current site name in Content Editor Web Part using JavaScript for your reference:

Hi Lakshmanan,

I tried this but does not work :

Go to Site Settings -> Navigation -> Select the radio button that says "Display only the navigation items below the current site" (In Current Navigation Section).
