Can I change alert description of PRO cpu uitilization
I'm using PRO functionality between SCOM and SCVMM. I changed threshold value via overriding of PRO CPU monitor. When I do stress test to a Hyper-V Host, It proceduces waninig messages well. But the problem was that its warning message had the same threshold value before I change. for example, After I change the value to 60, the mesage still said as below "CPU utilization on the host has reached critical levels. A %Processor Time monitor has detected that the CPU utilization is greater than the threshold. (The current threshold is 80% percent.)" How can I change this value of the message? Thanks, Yeonki

Hi You can't change the alert description on any rule \ monitor that is part of a sealed management pack as this is not exposed as an override. Can you take a look at the underlying monitor and confirm if the developer hard coded the value 80% into the monitor. It is possible to pass the actual threshold back to the description but you'd need to disable the current monitor and recreate it in a custom management with an alternative alert description. Hi Graham Thanks for the reply. Looking at the monitor property, the value of this message is defined like below. "$Target/Property[Type="VMMProLibrary!Microsoft.SystemCenter.VirtualMachineManager.Pro.2008.ManagedHost"]/CPUThreshold$%" I've known that this value (CPUThreshold) is came from CPU reserved on VMM console. I'll try to make another unit monitor as your recommendation. Best regards Yeonki
