Can't update boot image
When trying to update the distribution points with a new boot image, I get the following error. I'm using SCCM SP1 (which is using WAIK 1.1) . I get the error with both the x86 and x64 versions and with or without the new driver I'm trying to add. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thx. I think it's distmgr.log on the siteserver that should show some details.

Found the answer by trying to mount the WIM image using imagex and got an error which led to the following tidbit: If manuallymounting images using imagex.exegives you theerror: "System could not findspecified file", then you might be missing the WIM filter driver on that system. ImageX.exe needs to be able to load the WIM filter driver and it can be installed by using the WIMFLTR.INF to install it.Browsed to X:\Windows AIK\Tools\x86 (Where X: = the drive WAIK is installed) Right clicked WIMFLTR.INF and selected Install. hope this helps someone.

Guy!!! You're my savior!!! I updated my SCCM site to SP1 yesterday and that is apparently what broke the boot image update process. I applied your fix and it now works perfectly. I would suggest that we report this to PSS and have them fix the SP1 install because that is what appears to break it. Thanks again, Gary S. Parker

Check the C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log file and view with SMS Trace. In my case the log showed a failure with a VMWare NIC driver. I had to delete it and reimport the driver again.
