Can't start WDC service after install PXE service point
hello all, after i install PXE service point, WDS doesn't work any more. i installed WDS, not configure it, then install PXE. from log, everything looks good. but WDS cannot start. here is the error messages: 1. An error occurred while trying to initialize the Windows Deployment Services image server. Error Information: 0xC1030104 2. An error occurred while trying to initialize provider SMSPXE loaded from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CCM\x64\smspxe.dll. If the provider is marked as critical the Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown. Error Information: 0x4005 3. An error occurred while trying to initialize provider SMSPXE. Since the provider is marked as critical, the Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown. Error Information: 0x4005 4. An error occurred while trying to initialize provider WDSPXE from C:\Windows\system32\wdspxe.dll. Windows Deployment Services server will be shutdown. Error Information: 0x4005 5. An error occurred while trying to start the Windows Deployment Services server. Error Information: 0x4005 i tried to delete PXE, WDS, and reinstalled them, but nothing helps.

thanks for your reply, i forget to say that, the DHCP server is not on the WDS server.

yes, i saw that, but it doesn't help for my situation. after PXE service point intalled, i can't start WDS service. here's the error on SCCM MP. PXE Control Manager detected PXE service point is not responding to PXE requests. The error is 16389. message ID: 6319 The SMS PXE Service Point failed to read and configure the registry keys necessary for this component. message ID: 6300 The SMS PXE Service Point failed to Initialize the Database Connection. message ID: 6315 The SMS PXE Service Point failed to initialize the WDS PXE Provider. message ID: 6301 The SMS PXE Service Point failed to read and configure the registry keys necessary for this component. message ID: 6300

btw, this happened after i migrate the SCCM database to another SQL cluster. i checked database rights as well, and sure they are the same as before
