Can't see reports on other pc
Hi, I'm testing Reporting Services 2008 for my company. I'm trying to publish some reports and visualize them on other computers over our network. I successfully published a report on the reports server. What I can't do is seeing it on another pc using a user account different than mine. That's really strange to me. I gave to some other account on our network privileges for the reports server and for the report too, but nothing worked. My RS version is 2008 express. Am I missing something?

Hi, Please check Proxy settings etc internet explorer sometimes, other users are behind proxy or some firewall to reach server. Use can make use of Ping and tracert commands on command prompt to check the server is accessible from network pc Regards, Sushil Saini Sushil Saini

Sorry, maybe my explanation wasn't so clear. I can reach the server, but when I log in using credentials different from mine (which I used to create Reports Server) I can't see reports list and search box. I think there's some authentication issue...

Hi Emanuele, Please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337491.aspx on how to set permissions in reporting services to check the users' permission. Is your reporting environment in a domain or workgroup? Is there any error message to prompt when the users access report server/reports? In addional, if the clients are working under vista or above os, launch the IE using "Run as Administrator" to access your report server/reports. thanks, Jerry
