Can't see all content in a collection
I have a site collection in which I am the collection administrator. I want to see all content in the collection so tried /_layouts/sitemanger.aspx. I got a file not found error message. I don't understand this as I can use this approach in other site collections just fine. There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what your are trying to accomplish.

Thanks for the info run4it. Do you have some customization or changed layout? Do you have any feature active you dont have in the other sites?Andr Lage Microsoft SharePoint, CRM and Sybase Consultant Blog:http://aaclage.blogspot.com Codeplex:http://spupload.codeplex.com/http://simplecamlsearch.codeplex.com/

If by customization, you mean unghosting anything via Designer, no I haven't done that. This site is different in that I was experimenting with making different kinds of subsites in one collection. Some are publishing sites, some are collaboration. I also made a Record Center and a Document Center in the collection. I am experimenting with how I can "mix and match" site templates in a collection. I am in the planning stages of a small intranet solution. The reason I want to see all content is that if I make a distributed library collection, I was wondering how I could see it all (as the site administrator). One question please, in the "Site Settings>look and feel>Master Pages" do you change the system masterpage? I am only saying this because i want to understand what was change and what file sharepoint could add, maybe the page or the masterpage have a wrong refence to a image of file, or a custom masterpage dont have one contentplaceholder. Hello Andre. No I did not change the master via that method. In fact, I didn't know that method was available and that I could change master pages. Very interesting. I may however, have tinkered with the master page in Designer. I was experimenting with changing the configuration of the Quick Launch menu to try contracted menu items with flyout. Could that have done it? Per your suggestion, I went back into Site Settings > Master Pages and reselected master. default on both site and system. I still cannot get to sitemanger.aspx though. There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what your are trying to accomplish.

Hi run4it, Only publishing site could visit sitemanager.aspx page because different sites are using they are own site templates. We can only modify the structure of the sites which are not publishing site by Top link bar and Quick Launch(Site Actions > Site Settings, under Look and Feel section). Hope it helps. Best regards.

Hi run4it, Thanks for your reply. Please check whether Publishing feature is active or not follow these steps: 1 Site Actions > Site Settings > Site features under Site Administration section. 2 Activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing feature. This is enable publishing feature at the site level and to enable it at the site collection level please activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure after click Site Collection features under Site Collection Administration. For more information please go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/enable-publishing-features-HA010157772.aspxBest regards.

Yes it is (or I wouldn't even be able to see the Manage Content and Structure menu item, right?). There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what your are trying to accomplish.
