I'm trying to move folders in document libraries around within a site collection and I was receiving an error stating 'cannot read from source file or disk'. I narrowed the file, that was causing the error, down to an Outlook Item (.msg) file. When I unselect the Outlook Item I am able to move the folder with no problem. So my question is, why can't I move this file type and is there a way to move this file type?

Hi, I have this issue not only on msg file, but also pdf file, Office files work fine. If you are using MOSS 2007, you can go to Site Actions -> Content and Structure to move list items from the source list to the target if they’re within the same site collection.
