Can't link MS Access 2007 table to SharePoint List
I tried several ways to link a table created in MS Access 2007 to SharePoint List.(1) Create a table in Access first and save it as Access 2007 type. Export to SharePoint List.(2) Create a table in Access first and save it as Access 2007 type. Move to SharePoint List.(3) Create a custom list in SharePoint site. Open Access 2007. Import from SharePoint List.(4) Create a custom list in SharePoint site. Open with Access in Action menu. All those ways asked me to enter SharePoint Site address. After clicking "next", then the error box saying "Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and need to ....." comes out.I installed MS Office Suite SP1, but it didn't work.I have a full control permission in SharePoint site. Can anyone help me?

The site is our company's intranet. It starts with http://[webapplication]/sites/intranet .I tried to build contact list not using the sharepoint contact list template.Just the first and last names, phone, email and job title.I specify the site with the name http://[webapp]/sites/intranet/[department] and also I tried ending with "/".

Two (probably minor) differences in what I did for the book.(Using your scenario a as an example)1. I closed the database (having named the table) and re-opened it before doing the click on the SharePoint List link in the export section.2. I used http://<servername> as the site address.FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.

I tried, but it didn't work.Connecting to SharePoint worked fine. It created a list with the same columns. The process stops right after creating the list at the sharepoint site and gives me the error messsage saying "Microsoft Access 2007 has encountered a problem.....". If I go into the sharepoint site, the list has been created without any contents.I guess exporting the data and making the synchronization between two are having a problem. What makes this problem....

I tried the other way before. When I clicked "Open with Access" from Actions menu, Access 2007 application opened, but it gave me the same error message. For the field type,I had ID, First Name, Last Name, Job Title, Phone and Email. When the sharepoint list was created, ID was converted as "_ID". I think this conflicted with default ID in the sharepoint list.
