Can't install SCE 07 SQL Report Services installed and tested.
I am trying to install System Center Essentials on a virtual Windows Server 2008 Standard 64-bit machine for testing. I have installed the Report Services and configured it successfully to use a remote SQL 2005 instance on anohter server. I have tested Report Services and setup site settings sys admin account as well as creating new roles with full permissions. I then try again to install SCE 2007 and I have no options to select on the System Center Essentials Database page in the wizard except for the Database locations Install Location (stupid label) which must be a local folder. Why do I have three greyed out options boxes with yellow triangle warnings and can't select my Report Services working install. The Enable32bitApponWin64 is set to True on the IIS Application Pools and the databases were successfully created on the remote SQL Server 2005 install. I've been working on this for over a week now and have tried all I know. SQL Server Report Services are installed locally on the Windows 2008 server and SP2 and SP3 for SQL Server have been successfully installed.Does anyone have any idea of what I can try next? Is there a specialist out there in SCE 2007?

I have just tried installing SCE on a production Windows 2003 R2 running SQL 2005 x86 and was still unable to install. I've been doing this work for 27 years and have never seen a more difficult product to install.
