Can you help me with this issue? I could use Hyper-V manager to create virtual machine before. However can't do it any more after the SCE installation.
Thanks!

Hello Bell,
This issue seems more related with SCVMM. I found a thread in SCVMM forum which disscussed a similar issue here:
Error (12700) VMM cannot complete the Hyper-V operation on the ... could not initialize. (Virtual machine ID ) (Unknown error (0x8000))
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/virtualmachinemgrp2vv2v/thread/71aae7dc-13b5-46f1-b794-cc1b8085541f
Please check if it helps. Also, I would suggest you using the follwoing forums for this issue:

I posted my questions on the other place by following your recommendation. So far, no feedback or answer yet.
I also tried all the suggestions in that post but still have same problem.
Thank for the help, Yog!

Questions: Do other VM's on the same host start without issue?
If not, some possible suggestions:
There’re three factors that could be related this problem.
1. In BCD, the Hypervisor must be enabled - Run “bcdedit” and check “HypervisorLaunchType”, it should Auto.
2. In BIOS, we need to enable “Virtualization Support”, I think you have done it.
3. DEP must be enabled in BIOS level too. Like this picture.

Hi, Ketan:
When I run BCD, what is should I put in the commend line? Such as " BCDEdit /HypervisorLanuchType".The err message said" An Unknow commend was specified"
When I type in " BCDEdit /?", it has long list.
Do you mind to provide me detail helps?
Thanks!

If you just type bcdedit, you should get list of settings like this. Do you see Hypervisorlaunchtype there?
Windows Boot Loader
-------------------
identifier {current}
device partition=C:
path \Windows\system32\winload.exe
description Windows Server 2008 R2
locale en-US
inherit {bootloadersettings}
recoverysequence {9a21ff6e-8baa-11e0-afc9-bc305bc901fb}
recoveryenabled Yes
osdevice partition=C:
systemroot \Windows
resumeobject {9a21ff6c-8baa-11e0-afc9-bc305bc901fb}

Following your instruction, I did get the info and it shows "hypervisorlaunchtype" is "Auto"
However when I use the tool to check, it said VT is not enabled. This is back to
Ganesh
's comment.
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/processors/toolspiu/
I did follow the instruction, enable the VT in BOIS in processor setup and did cool restart(unplugged power). Then the tool still shows VT is not enabled.
This server was able to create VM with Hyper-V manager. After I reinstalled the OS, it has this problem.
Do you have more detail instruction about how to enable VT?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Enabling VT would depend on Processor/BIOS.
There are some help docs like
