Can't access Sharepoint 2007 SP3 site
I am not experienced in this but am having problems with accessing the Sharepoint Central Admin, I click on it and IE will not open/access it. Neither can I get to Companyweb, IE sais it encountered an error. As an update when I go to restart the server remotely I get an internal error notice for 50331656. I can no longer access remotely after doing this! Advice appreciated. Many thanks for your time.

SBS 2008. It was there before. i did a server restart and I got an immediate message (accessing remote) that the server encountered an error. I cannot not access the remote at all. I know that the POP3 Exchange 2007 is still downloading emails so are there any other means of external access to the server? Many thanks for your time.

Hi, With SBS 2008: Users must be members of the Remote Web Site Users or the Domain Admins security groups. Windows SBS 2008 must allow connections through TCP port 80, 443, 987, and 3389. The computer used to connect to Remote Web Site must allow connections through TCP ports 80, 443, 987, and 3389. I would suggest that you refer to this link: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sharepoint/archive/2007/03/06/what-every-sharepoint-administrator-needs-to-know-about-alternate-access-mappings-part-1.aspx I hope it can help you a little. Best regards, David HM
