Can't Discover New Computers and Performance Data Not Updating
Hi, I am having issues with SCE after removing a Computer Group from the database but I don't see why it should but this issue but it all started on the same day. First off I added the managed computer group "cluster roles" and found out after the fact I could not remove it. I found that it could be removed from the WSUS console. Once I removed it I noted errors in the logs about WSUS issues. Event Type: Error Event Source: System Center Essentials Event Category: None Event ID: 30201 Date: 5/26/2009 Time: 8:16:21 PM User: N/A Computer: SCE Description: The SCE Group identified by 'ff95b717-0883-3777-f3dd-160627395c69' could not synchronize to its associated WSUS Group identified by '77a6472d-5a96-47a2-a6e1-3d23035a1e68' because the SCE Group could not be found. The module will be unloaded. Management Group: SCE_MG Rule: System.SCE.MP.GroupSynchronizationRule Instance: 77a6472d-5a96-47a2-a6e1-3d23035a1e68.ff95b717-0883-3777-f3dd-160627395c69 Instance Id:{A8FECDB6-AFE1-BA4B-21BE-1C190D73D067} I then found out these could be "fixed" by removing the DB entry from this link http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/systemcenter/thread/01cd4140-a880-4792-be1d-930ab5d1958a/ Once that was done the WSUS events stopped but around that time (within 3 hours) my new issues started. Right now my SCE server can't discover any new clients even when I know they are online it just sits and scans forever. Also all the servers that were already added to SCE no longer report performance data back they all seem to stop around the same time. I am getting this event logged on my SCE server but I don't know if it's the issue since it was around before this all started. Event Type: Warning Event Source: OpsMgr Config Service Event Category: None Event ID: 29106 Date: 5/27/2009 Time: 4:43:48 PM User: N/A Computer: SCE Description: The request to synchronize state for OpsMgr Health Service identified by "86e8b22e-e02c-ecc0-f430-20d411a332ed" failed due to the following exception "Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Public.ConfigServiceException: An instance was deleted before its properties could be read. ---> Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.DataItemDoesNotExistException: An instance was deleted before its properties could be read. at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.DataAccess.DatabaseAccessor.QueryInstanceProperties(ReadOnlyCollection`1 instances) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.ConfigurationItems.Instances.CollectPublicProperties(ReadOnlyCollection`1 identities, IConfigurationDataAccessor dataAccessor) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.ConfigurationItems.ConfigurationItemCollection`2.CollectPublicProperties(IConfigurationDataAccessor dataAccessor) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.ConfigurationItems..ctor(StateContext stateContext, IConfigurationDataAccessor dataAccessor) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.ConfigurationItems..ctor(StateContext stateContext, IConfigurationDataAccessor dataAccessor) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.CreateResponse(Managers managers) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.Managers.Synchronize(OnDoSynchronizedWork onDoSynchronizedWork) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.Execute(Managers managers) at Microsoft.Mom.ConfigService.Engine.ConfigurationEngine.CommunicationHelper.StateSyncRequestTask.Run(Guid source, String cookie, Managers managers, IConfigurationDataAccessor dataAccessor, Stream stream, IConnection connection)". Any help would be great I would hate to have to reinstall from strach since we have already deployed to 30 servers and 110 clients. Thanks!

Hi, Could you please check how many group has been created in SCE? If the number of computer groups created is more than 25, then the group synchronization will fail between SCE and WSUS
