Calculated column hides documents from view

Hi guys,

I ran into a rather strange issue with our SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise. Some of my document libraries have a calculated field that concatenates two or three other column data. The problem is that when I go to the library and use one of the calculated columns as a filter it shows a value but when I select it there are no documents displayed.

The temporary fix is to go the Library Settings and edit the calculated column's formula. Basically, I just click on the column's name, the formula field appears, then I click OK to close it. SharePoint processes the formula and this temporarily fixed the view. Now I can go in the library's view and actually see the documents under the value that previously did not return anything.

This worked perfectly fine prior to migrating from WSS 3.0 to SP 2013. I should also mention that I have not applied any Cumulative Updates yet (I read through the CUs and the fixes they contain but none of them seemed to address my problem).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

A
