Calculated Site Columns Error using Content Types and Site Templates

Hi,

I am receiving the following error when I try to recreate a site template.

The formula refers to a column that does not exist.  Check the formula for spelling mistakes or change the non-existing column to an existing column.

Per recommendations in other posts, I have done the following:

1) Created a new Content Type

2) Added new columns from the Content Type Hub including calculated columns (very simple calculations)

3) Created a new Site

4) Added the Content Type to the Site (made the content type default, added list columns to the Content Type)

5) Confirmed calculated columns worked ok

6) Saved as Site Template

7) Created a new Site Template based off this one and received the error message.

I have made sure that brackets are in place and that the new columns were created from the Content Type Hub. I am not sure which (if any) CUs have been applied to this SP2010, but is/was there a known issue around this? Or a fix in a CU?

Please advise of any additional workaround. I appreciate the help.

Regards,

Scott
