If I out only a numeric value lie = 2+3 , then no error but i need to put survey field like =QUES1 + QUES2 Any help?

I believe you can not base calculated fields on items that are not currently stored in a list. Here's an excerpt from on calculated columns related to creating a Survey: If you want new responses to display information for this question automatically, type that information in the space provided. Team members can change this value. You can also select Calculated value and then enter a formula to create the default value. For example, you could specify that, by default, a team member's user name appears by typing [me] in the field provided.
