Caching and Event Recievers on Alternate Access Mapped Sites
In our environment, we have a web application and an alternate access mapping for that web application for allowing anonymous access. Within this configuration we have a list that has event receivers attached to it that monitor when an item is changed, added, or removed. We then use the events from the event receiver to trigger the cache dependency to invalidate. This all works fine on the base web application, all the events fire as expected; however, the events in the event receiver never fire on the alternate access mapped side. This is a problem because the web application and the alternate access mapping have their own application cache. Environment: MOSS 2007, win 2008 server R2, SQL 2008 Is there a way to fix this problem or is there a more appropriate way to handle not having to get the data from the list and transforming it on every request.
