CCMSetup.exe command line ??
I have a couple of questions on the ccmsetup.exe. One tech said if you run this from a command line for a Manual install it should look like this: ccmsetup.exe /mp:Server1 SMSSLP=Server1 FSP=Server1 SMSSITECODE=USA When I look at the propertties of the Client Push Installation inside the SCCM Console it has this command line SMSSITECODE=USA SMSSLP=CentralSite1 FSP=Server1 SMSMP=Server1 The SMSSLP points to the Central Site and there is no /mp: switch. Which is correct? Also, I was told that if you Right Click a collection and choose "Install Client" it will use the command line that is on the Client Push Installation. Is that True? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this. mqh7

1) You can use an SLP in the central site 2) Yes, that's true if the schema has been extended. Clients will query AD for the command-line properties and use them.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

/mp merely tells ccmsetup where to download from (via BITS) the rest of the files that client setup needs. If this parameter is not specifed, ccmsetup uses default logic which includes first trying to use the default MP for the site and then the directory where ccmsetup was started from. /mp does not set the MP and is not equivalent to setting the SMSMP property.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys
