Is this the right forum for SCCM 2012 too? The title says 2007 but it's the only forum that I can see. I'm attempting to do a Build and Capture for Win7 AMD64, and as soon as it hits the DHCP lease time and tries to renew it fails with the logs showing messages like "unknown host (gethostbyname failed)". I'm wondering if this is a known issue, or if I need to tweak my VM settings. Everything else up to that point appears to be working fine. I'm working around it by extending the DHCP lease limit which I normally like to keep fairly short as people move between the different sites and windows is particularly bad at cleaning up DNS entries when the DHCP lease is given up on shutdown.

For the sake of future google searches, the problem in my case was a duplicate IP address of the SCCM server. The other machine using the IP address was off most of the time but would be turned on once or twice a day and my build and capture would fail when this happened. arpwatch running on a Linux server identified this for me... curiously the sccm server didn't tell me that someone else was using its IP address.
