Bug when rendering SSRS2008 report in Excel with Print On First Page Set to True?
Environment: SSR2008 and Excel 2003/2007 Hi, Not sure if this is a bug, expected behavior or just plain stupidity on my part? After exporting a SSRS2008 rpt to Excel I noticed the exported file size seemed larger than expected. I'm using the Page Header with Print on First Page set to true to create a "freeze pane" for column headers for use when the rpt is exported to Excel. When viewing the rpt within Excel 2003 (or Excel 2007 after Save As .xlsx) if I select "Unfreeze Pane" I see a split worksheet with what appears to be the same rpt Page Header and data repeated twice??? Perhaps this is more of an Excel question but wanted to try here first since I figured this behavior must have been seen before. Thanks, Chris.

Hi DBGuy1611, According to your description, when you select “Unfreeze pane” in Excel, the worksheet was split into two and repeated all data include page header. In this case, this behavior is by design in Excel. I suggest you can post the thread to Excel forum to discuss the issue, there are many experts focus on it. If you have any question regarding to reporting services, please feel free to ask. Thanks, Eileen
