What patch level is your farm at? Level 1 Browser support for the 32-bit IE 8 was added in WSS v3's Service Pack 2, so if you're at that level its most likely that you won't have any issues. If you're not patched to SP2 yet, then you could have some problems. (Please keep in mind, that this is based on a standard WSS install and configuration, if you have customizations deployed to the farm you may still have issues with IE 8. Also, you may still have some issues with SSRS (depending on your version), SQL Server 2008's browser compatibility documentation only mentions IE 6 and IE 7, but IE 8 is mentioned as compatible in the documentation for SQL Server 2008 R2. I don't have a lot of experience with SSRS 2008, so I don't know exactly how it behaves in IE 8.) This link has a lot more detailed information about what is and is not supported from a browser standpoint with WSS v3: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288142%28office.12%29.aspx John MCITP and MCTS: SharePoint, Virtualization, Project Server 2007
