Branch clients look back at parent when installing an advertisment.
I have looked at the "LocationsServices.log and it points the client back across a slow link to the parent of the BRANCH site which is also a MP and has the package. When we create the packages on the Central Site we also push then to the child Primary "which works fine" and the Branch off the Central Site. When we try to install Office 2007 it takes an average of 6 hours. I started with the client looking at "execmgr.log" and then "LocationServices.log".

It's most likely a matter of your boundary setup plus if the DP/BDP is protected or not. Please provide some more details about that.

Thank you for your prompt reply. 1. Windows 2003 AD 2. One doman, four sites 3. Clients having issues are in one other the remote sites and have a DC/GC at that site with an Exchange 2003 server there also. 4. Clients are located in a sub site OU under Workstations. Boundary for those clients was creating pointing to this OU and looking at the "execmgr.log" the clients are in the correct site. 5. Setup a sever at this remote site as a BRANCH and when creating packages it is listed in the options to copy the package to this BRANCH. 6. Under Boundaries there is one for this BRANCH and it reflects unser the SITE that the parent is my Central Site. It knows it is a BRANCH, a SLOW connection and under protected in the box reflects the name of the Server where the BRANCH is installed. I did look at there is a SMSPKGZ$ share and all the advertisments are there. 7.Looking at a client at this site in the LocationServices.log file there is the line Retrived local Management Proint from AD and the value is my Central Site back here.
