Boundary Overlap issue

Dear All,

We came across an incident were a DP which was was supporting a sites was showing high traffic. We found distribution setting restricted to business hrs but still it was high. We also observed in many region were there was seperate Local DP, when we initiate any application deployment it was downloading from the above mentioned DP rather than the Local DP. Later our team found that in there was an overlap in boundary. Now the things seems to become normal.

I am still curious to find some answers. Firstly the machine of different sites which have there local DP but it download from this particular DP why...since in content download log we can see both DP mentioned.

Secondly it was observed that machine IP address are totally different but still it download from this particular DP.

The IP also does not come in boundary overlap. Please suggest and share your views.

It's a boundary/group issue. Your questions cannot be answered without knowing all details (boundaries, b. groups, client IPs, DP config etc)

1 more information i would like to share that both boundary which were overlapping have the same boundary group added with same DP showing heavy traffic.

Secondly what other reason that can cause high traffic and latency on a DP (virtual DP) in WAN.

Have you checked that distant DP does not have "Allow fallback source location for content" enabled?
